Although Wolford do not market these primarily for wearing with trousers they do have one advantage over many tights and that is that they do not have a conventional waist band.

This in reality means that they can be worn around your waist or lower down around your hip and they will still sty up great if you like showing off your midriff.

As far as the actual tights are concerned I think that they are ok. not to jump over the moon about, they are sheer, look good on and are up to the usual Wolford quality, and at first it is a strange sensation if you wear them around your hip but you do gat use to them in a few minutes.

I can recommend BHS 15 denier plain knit lycra multipack "fives" for wear under trousers. For some reason I find these tights stay up better than most 15 denier tights, particularly under jeans. They are comfortable as well as being relatively long lasting. They also come in in a good variety of shades, although I personally tend to stick with my favourite black or nearly black. ( SR)

With cropped trousers...have you tried

Normally you would look very odd if you wore a pair of 15 or 20 denier tights with cropped trousers , but if you would like to add a little colour to your legs these are the one to try first.

Although I must admit I have only worn them with shorts the effect is the same, adding just the right amount of shade to my legs and no one noticed.
